Pollen Allergy Symptoms
The pollens coming from trees, grass and weeds are very light and they can travel in air. When the allergic people inhale, swallow or come in contact with these pollens, they experience several allergy symptoms. Pollen allergy usually appears in certain seasons and cause cold-like symptoms. No other better method is possible to prevent pollen allergy symptom rather than avoiding the exposure to pollen.
Itching: Allergy sufferers experience itching sensations in the eyes, nose, throat, mouth and face due to the pollen allergy. This condition is called allergic rhinitis.

Irritation on eyes: An itchy and watery eye is pollen allergy symptom associated with allergic rhinitis. The eyes of some people appear red and bloodshot due to the allergic reactions. The eyelids become swollen, puffy, and swelling and dark circles develop under the eyes in some cases.
Ear stuffiness: Some people feel stuffiness and congestion in ears due to allergic rhinitis. Ear congestion may cause hearing loss temporarily.
Decreased sense of smell: The nasal congestion that occurs in some people due to allergy to pollen could hamper sense of smell. The people may also lose sense of taste.
Sore throat: Sore, scratchy throat occurs due to pollen allergy. Some people may experience itching in the throat.
Stomach problems: Pollen allergy can cause some digestive problems such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain.
Headache: Headache is a pollen allergy symptom, which should be taken seriously. It happens due to the pressure in nasal cavities. Some people also experience pressure and pain on other part of the face along with headache.
Fatigue: Pollen allergy may cause unexplained fatigue in some people. They feel like their thinking and mental process are impaired and slowed.
Severe symptoms: In some rare cases, the pollen allergy symptoms may interfere with our daily activities. As a result, the people experience breathing problems, pain and persistent symptoms, which disturb sleep. It can trigger fatigue and irritability and make normal activities difficult to carry out.
Oral allergy syndrome: Oral allergy syndrome mostly affects the children and it is commonly caused by tree pollen. The connection between some foods and the proteins of pollen triggers oral allergy symptoms. Birch tree pollen is one of the main allergen, which causes this allergic symptom. The proteins of pollen are similar to those of some fruits like apple, peach, plums, pear, cherries etc in structure. When allergic people eat these fruits, they experience itching, swelling and hives in and around the mouth and throat.
Treatment of pollen allergy symptoms with medications is possible.
